Why We Built This Site
Ohio trial-court docket access is local rather than statewide. Clinton County has a Clerk CaseLook route for Common Pleas categories and a separate Municipal Court Record Search for traffic, misdemeanor, limited civil, and small-claims matters. Probate and Juvenile remain distinct court channels. The split can make a no-result misleading when the wrong court portal was selected, so this resource organizes the official routes and the clerk-contact fallback.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket routes: the different paths for criminal docket search and civil docket search in Clinton County
- Dates and settings: ways to use court dates and then verify a hearing with the owning court
- Case locators: how case lookup fields differ between Common Pleas and Municipal Court systems
- Clerk copies: the court record search and certification route for the appropriate custodian
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Ohio court, court clerk, or government agency. Its limits are important:
- It cannot retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for an individual.
- It cannot set, move, or confirm a hearing date.
- It cannot remove, seal, correct, or amend a court case.
- It cannot issue a certified copy of an order, docket, or court file.
- It does not provide legal advice about a pending case or filing deadline.
- It cannot guarantee that an office procedure, fee, or court setting has not changed.
Only the Clerk of Courts or the court that maintains a case can issue its official or certified copy. A portal result is a locator, not a clerk-certified record.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes provided by third parties. Those providers set their own terms, pricing, and result displays. A referral fee may be earned when a visitor follows a partner path. That relationship does not make the service a court, clerk, or official source, and it does not control a provider's results or charges.
